Table Linen Care Tips: Washing and Detergents

We want you to enjoy your damask tablecloths, linen tablecloths, white large plain tablecloths, table toppers, table runners, and your cloth napkins for a long time. When selecting our table linen collection, we carefully focus on high quality, pure materials, and the superior quality of the yarns used, including colorfastness and dimensional stability. Please note the following tips when washing your tablecloths:

  • Our tablecloths have sewn-in care labels; please follow the instructions specifically matched to the material.
  • For white tablecloths, using detergent with optical brighteners is fine. For colored tablecloths, use color-safe detergent without optical brighteners, as they can affect the color brilliance.
  • Be aware that all textiles, including tablecloths, shrink slightly during the first wash. For boil washes, shrinkage can reach up to 5%, typically slightly more in length than width.
  • If there are no stubborn stains, washing at 60°C is usually sufficient to restore the tablecloths to brilliant whiteness and cleanliness. This is gentler on the fabric and increases the longevity of your table linen.
  • Do not let stains or dirt dry on the tablecloths. Ideally, wash your table linen immediately after the event. Pre-treat stubborn stains with liquid soap, allowing it to penetrate well beforehand.
  • Pay attention to proper washing machine loading: a not fully loaded machine protects the textile fabric, especially tablecloths, and ensures thorough cleaning.
